Don’t drown in the koolaid 🤪 our time is coming lmao
I will probably get a PIP soon.
When I was a young manager a partner heard me making fun of KPMG because of their recent insider trading scandal. He gave me the advice that we shouldn’t revel in the issues of other firms as 1) these issues increase negative perception of the Big 4 overall, and 2) all the firms have issues over time and it will only be a matter of time until your own firm is the one embroiled in a scandal. Over time, I’m come to realize that this was really good advice.
Why would we want to protect the reputation of Big 4 when they mess up? Especially as non partners with no equity in the industry. Sounds like encouraging poor behavior for personal gain at the expense of shareholders.
No waffles, pancakes if I remember correctly. But that was third party vendor so I didn’t really care what they say vs. this is from leadership.
They said women's brains are like pancakes, they could absorb some syrup but it has runoff and is in compartmentalized while men's brains are like waffles, they can contain and compartmentalize, thus they soak up more in the end.
One of the other B4 should be super petty and allow EY employees to carry their PTO they are going to lose to that other firm.
LOL, just give it time. Who wants to bet that PwC tops this by the end of the year?
I disagree. PwC has done the right PR moves throughout the pandemic. They will match it but won’t top it, and will spin it in a way that will make them look better than the others
PwC has their own wire fraud charges coming. The double-billing scandal will get out soon. That one could take the firm down.
In tax they increased IPRs retroactively and then people billed things again. Open secret among leadership that they pulled this twice because they knew the process a lot of people used to bill would result in hours being billed twice.

Apologies to EY. We’re all Big 4 at the end of the day. I have many food friends at EY. Great people.
The best. Absolutely fantastic. You know I walk down the halls and I see people from EY and I think “wow, such great people.”
People need to leave EY alone. All companies have issues/areas for improvement. What happens in one specific office is not a reflection of EY as a whole. A person/small group's opinion/email formulation/mistake is also not a reflection of the company as a whole. This vendetta against EY is getting a bit over the top.
LEAVE BRITTNEY ALONE!
By the way - women are pancakes, not waffles!
