8/30 or 9/30 for bonus. Raises take effect 10/1, you'll see it in your paycheck 10/15

Promo bonus is 10/15. Performance bonus has been 8/15 but looks like could be later this year

like

October 15

Aug 31st

EY 2 I thought that was correct. I saw on going concern that it was 8/15 but that seemed early

Seeking advice on my dilemma. Currently a Manager at Deloitte, with a possible Senior Manager promotion in 2023. No guarantees of course. Awaiting EB3 EAD. Also initiating an EB2 app. Should I try and move to a different Big4 firm if I can get a level bump? New EB2 app, PERM and I-140 approval (premium) might take a year. Will need 485j. Or should I just stay at Deloitte and try for the SM promotion, while waiting for my EB2 EAD? Current base: $183K, 12 YOE.

Currently an OCM Associate with 2.5 YOE in consulting & 1 YOE experience in sales and going up for promotion to SA in May/June. Received a Senior Consultant offer from Cognizant that puts TC about 35-40% higher than current TC. Has anyone worked in the OCM practice at Cognizant / have any thoughts about growth, current TC vs offer, etc?

I'm so fed up with the casual sexism of my mom. Last night, she was worried about my sister whose husband doesn't have "the same earning potential" as my brothers 1, 2, and 3, all named individually, so "she will always be poor". When I pointed out that she compared my sister only to my brothers, I earn more than them, and both my sister and I are at top firms in our fields, she said, "...mm". Later she said how happy I am when I'm not working and I should quit to raise kids (no kids yet)

Has anyone addressed their ADHD with their boss directly? For example, I have a really hard time with long meetings. I can’t sit still and pay attention and I wonder if sharing this with my boss would be helpful or if it would raise red flags. Funny enough, my job is very detail oriented.

Part of me hopes that we have another lockdown as a result of the Omicron variant. So many lives have been lost, the virus has undoubtedly caused mental duress across the globe, and I’m fortunate to be in a position where a lockdown wouldn’t impact me as much as it would others (which I obviously acknowledge), but life truly slowed down and subconsciously there was a sense of comfort knowing I could take the time to work on myself without missing out on anything happening on the outside.

do you ask to know the salary of a job during the first interview or do you go through the whole process (could be 2 total interviews, could be 5) to ask? The interview process is such a mental and time drain that I honestly don’t even want to go through it unless I know the salary is something Im interested in.

I understand the benefits of tax so maxing it is beneficial, however, I’m almost breaking even each month. Is it smart to slow the contributions, keep investing myself so I will have money for a down payment down the road? Don’t want to pull on my 401k if not needed
