If you’re interviewing for a job, and for the interview you are allowed to expense a meal, is 31.15 too much to expense for a dinner?
To con't the conversation on engagement rings💍 - what do they symbolize to you? My BF and I got into a discussion about this last night. He views them as an investment and an "asset" on the books for his future family. He also has grandparents who had to finance their trip to America by selling their jewels. I see the ring as more of a gift to the future bride that is an expense that can be sold for money if needed, but isn't an investment. I'm fine w/ lab grown, he is not. Thoughts?

KPMG folks. I see the mobile expense reimbursement is $65 with an equipment. Is there a breakout between wireless service and equipment or it’s looked at in total? If I’m on a family plan and pay $20, can I get a phone that costs $45 so as to maximize the $65 reimbursement? Thoughts appreciated

Hey guys. I have a soon to be nonprofit church struggling because they already started services (collecting offerings too against my advice) before things were set with an EIN and they gave an event already planned out and are trying to find a way to spend and collect before the things are in order. They want to know if one of their small business owners can expense and collect then consider it a donation. Is this possible? Any advice or loopholes that are Legal and will avoid issues later on?

Anybody took a job that turned out to be wrong fit? How did you bounce back and how to handle if it comes up in interviews? I hesitate to say “I wanted to do this at the time then changed my mind / it wasn’t a good fit”
I’m a 7th year corporate associate at a V50 and between my wife and I, we have amassed 300k in savings (still paying loans aggressively too but wanted liquidity and room to invest/house payment) and hopefully 400k next year when we plan to buy a home. I am a total novice with personal finance and a bit risk averse and my parents were foreign and didn’t really do the investment stuff. The money is in a regular old savings account but I want to see what’s the best way to maximize that 300k and
Looking for input from indy/RIA, wirehouse, B/D, Bank, Insurance folks all in one spot. If you have $50M wrapped at 1% (let’s just assume for this purpose)... what does that equate to for total comp?

I have been unhappy about my current job for a bit now, been at the company for almost 10 years, and have started looking for a new job. I have a solid job offer on the table, but a newer PE group just reached out and are looking for a high level either VP or Director of retail sales (my specialty). I am more interested in this private equity group as I would get to build a whole team and really make a retail strategy but they are newer so I am unsure the stability. Thoughts on working for a PE?

I'm sorry if this is out of place, but is anyone interested in coming on my veteran podcast? I work for a Nonprofit Organization that provides supportive services to veterans in CA, NV and AZ and our podcast discusses issues relevant to veterans. I'm organically searching for veterans who are willing to talk about their experiences, mental health and healthcare, employment, case management, housing for the homeless, etc. We don't require you to be an expert on anything.

Just got turned down by Amazon after two extensive writing assignments, 6 interviews and hours spent preparing. And their policy doesn’t allow them to give feedback when an offer is not made. Talk about a bruised ego. The only silver lining is staying long enough to collect the October and January big law bonuses and then I’m out! The question is where else pays like Amazon?!
If you're on a PiP, is it better to quit just before the end stage, when you get fired, or better to get fired and collect unemployment, but also have a company-based termination on your record
