EY-Parthenon folks when introducing yourselves to clients and other acquaintances, do you say you work for EY or EYP ? I’m asking because a buddy of mine who was in OTS now introduces himself as I work for EYP which I found to be a little funny and pretentious 😂

A lot of the PE clients recognize the Parthenon brand so we do often say EYP. Really depends on the context. Acquaintances I switch up depending on who it is - for some EY is more recognized so it’s just easier to say that. If I’m talking to people that know consulting I’d probably say EYP because that would give them a better sense of the actual work I do instead of just “EY” 🤷🏻‍♀️ For OTS it’s interesting cuz I’d imagine their clients are more familiar with the EY brand, but I could be wrong.

Not sure why that’s pretentious. To corporate clients we will often use EY and to PE clients well use EYP. Don’t project you’re on insecurities onto others

To all the clients we introduce us as EYP. Just to make sure they don't equate us with turbo tax

I have heard most people saying EYP while introducing themselves. I don’t see anything wrong with being specific if they want to.

With clients it all depends on context. When we want to lord over our school cohort. Well, you were the recipient of that example.

I think we all know the answer to this question

Oh I didn’t realize OTS does not work with PE clients. I thought they do IT DD and ODD for both PE and corporate clients

Ots does work with pe clients. Source: ots director who works with pe clients

Seems like OP thinks that OTS is not as good as legacy EYP?

The strategy team does great work, the TSE team does great work and the TRS team does great work. We are all one now, so let's relax on calling each other out. It's not a good look to air dirty laundry out on a public forum like this anyway.

I can image if you are in Europe....My name is Ares and I am from Parthenon.
