Failure is like digging; you must keep digging to find the treasure.

Our perspective has tremendous power. Use it to dig. Here's how:

- Accept the present situation first before deciding what to do. You can’t change the failure, but you can find your next steps from it.
- You can’t change others, but you have absolute power over yourself. That’s more than enough.
- Be intentional about the next attempt.
- See what others did and how you can apply it to your endeavor.

Hi fishes 🐟

Can someone shed insight on what is a good salary range for an EA (me) who supports CEO, COO, Legal Counsel (1 person) and HR Director. And also serve as office manager - handle all the logistics of managing inventory for office supplies, kitchen ( coffee, etc) as well as any issues that may come up- a/c issues, issues with cleaning staff, building issues etc. also handle travel bookings for all the company- this alone is a FT job. The travel got added 3 months after I started. TY.

I’m trying to switch job very shortly after starting a new one that I hate and was not what was promised at all. I believe honesty is the best policy so i will try to explain that the new job is simply way too easy for my experience and it’s just not adding anything to my resume, I still feel like I’m being penalized with recruiters so how do I clarify this before I try to approach them? Super awkward but I’ve always had great feedback on my work and I’d hate to be miserable :(

Most companies try to deal with Burnout by throwing money at it with wellness programs or vacations.

What happens when people come back from their programs or vacations? They are back to the same situation that led to their Burnout in the first place.

Companies need to fix the work culture of their leadership.

I am in the process of finding administrative assistant interns from our local universities. In an effort to make my job opportunity appealing, I am asking everyone in this bowl about an appropriate job title. Is "Administrative Assistant" outdated or unappealing? I certainly don't want to mislead anyone on the job responsibilities, but I do want to avoid any potential negative stereotypes attached to that job title. Are there alternative titles that you find more appropriate for 2022?

Ok need some advice-I’ve been at my firm for 8 months supporting the same attorney since day 1. About 3 weeks ago a new associate started and I’m her main support also. I want to get her something for Christmas but I know very little about her lol. She’s in her late 20’s, very stylish, single. I also don’t know what a good amount to spend is. For reference we are in a suburb of Syracuse, NY, we represent school districts and my salary is $42,000/yr. Any tips would be awesome!!

Hi my IBM sharks !
With reference to creating a tax saver FD for tax exemption under Section 80C for FY 2022-23, what is the last date by which we need to create the Tax Saver FD and upload it as investment proof on IBM Tax declarations portal?

I know that in December we need to upload the investment proofs, but do we need to get the Tax Saver FD created before that?

Additional Posts in Career Pivot

Been wondering about this a lot lately. How do you know if you're on the right industry/career? I've been kind of unhappy where I at but I don't necessarily think it's because of the work. I think it's more of the people I work with, which is also weird because they're technically really great people except for one or two.

Do I need a career change or a work environment change?

Majority of my department has been informed we will need to look for other positions internally due to our jobs being outsourced. The timeframe for the full transition of all work to the vendors is approximately 6 months. This is the second time in 14 months I have had to look for another position due to outsourcing of work. Since I can only work remotely for my company due to location, is it best to resign or to hold out in hopes for a transition to another department?
