Travelling for over 2 years. Don't make excuses to eat unhealthy and don't skip the gym. Do whatever it takes to eat right, spend more than the per diem if required, and make sure you work out. It all adds up so fast.
Finding ways to reduce the variability of travel has helped. I try to stay at the same hotel every week and leave a bag there over the weekend - cuts down on the packing while at home and makes the hotel feel more familiar / comfortable.
Oh also in terms of dealing with being away from home: use the money you save by not paying for food to send out laundry and hire cleaners. For me that's like four hours a week saved and lets me do other things when I'm home.
I like a combo of what the other two said. Make a routine and make sure it includes eating well and exercising. For me taking the same flights and staying at the same hotel makes a huge difference.
Agree with everyone above. Get into a routine and stick to it week after week (packing, laundry, exercise, etc). The more you automate the easier it becomes
Hit the gym in the morning. It’ll suck but once you’re in the routine your workouts will be better and you’ll have so much time
