Hello Fish Friends! Does a PhD count as project management experience?

I’m in a pit of a pickle…I’m leading my very first project (case study) with a team of 5. We’re all in different countries and different time zones 😬

What do I need to include on the project plan/roadmap so there’s a clear understanding of what our goals are? How do I get everything to align for success and how do I keep everyone motivated?

I joined Wipro in April 2022 now the project which I got is not good there is no learning and proper guidance. Can I resigne and look for other options?

Any SAP Consultants here? Can you please help me about which is the most on demand skill/certification? I am new to a project, with learning paths. I can choose from several paths. Can you give me brief suggestions which will be the most demanded skill?
Shall I get a HANA Certification or ABAP?

What should an account planners portfolio look like? Do you guys create websites with client work examples? Or just share briefs and/strategy docs upon request? I just wouldn’t want to put an actual brief into a public portfolio as that feels a little weird, but maybe that’s just me. I just switched jobs only to find out their processes and software are outdated. I’m afraid that I will lose my skills in the new automation and marketing platforms like HubSpot. I asked if there was a chance to upgrade but it’s all done through corporate. Ily old job was tech savvier but my boss was a terrible micromanager. I’m thinking just stick around for 2-3 years. I got offer letter from Accenture. I was selected for Chennai location. But in HR interview HR told they will put as bengaluru now. Once I accept offer letter after 15 days they will change it to chennai. Will they do it? Can I trust? They are not attending my calls not replying to mail. What do I do now?

A company spends good 2-3 months of paid time in training & bringing to scale their new hires (specifically replacements).
However, they won’t spend this amount on their existing employees (those who’re unhappy or leaving).

Why aren’t employers understanding this. Seems like this simple strategy may help in curtailing attrition upto some extent.
