Yes, you do need to ask for more but 15% is not enough. You need a cost/tax analysis from someone who understands your situation. This is more than just paying your own social security. You have health care, vacation cost, business insurance, retirement planning and more.

General rule if your W2 was 100k , then you ask for 100$/hr on c2c

Never heard of this before and it sounds like a lot since it's pretty much double based on a 40hr week, but I like it. It takes into account the loss of benefits.

At least 30% more. Also factor in travel expenses that you will pay oop now

So i was seeing the post around Deloitte USI work life balance, culture, hikes and bonuses were comparing to others. Let me tell you, this is the same company which gave me 1 lakh joining bonus, 20k award,10k special compensation, 5k spot award,15k furniture expense, 25k smartphone, 1.5k internet, awesome laptop to work, 15 days covid leaves. And today 22% hike 160% bonus. I mean i just joined 6 months back. What else you want from any company? I have great WLB since joined. #greatCompany #Love❤

Today our board votes whether or not to send us back on March 1st. We have been virtual all year. Marriage or promotion 😞 I’m on track to make partner at my company. Due to the audit services we sell, we have to disclose all financial relationships, including those of our SOs. I’m engaged to a private investor, and there is no way he is going to disclose/sell investments because my company tells him to (I don’t blame him; I wouldn’t do this, in his position, either). This means I have to quit if I want to marry him 😞 Anyone else experience this kind of compromise / challenge? Any advice?
