Family medical emergency in India. 🐠- any way I can get to BOM? I realize India is stopping airlines from Sunday midnight. Leaving today won’t get me there before that

Yep I think if you can manage to get a flight you will be okay , contact the embassy, they might be able to assist.

I’ve heard many countries are allowing emergency travelers. Contact the embassy and ask. To your point, logistically speaking, getting a flight might a whole other issue.

Typically that means plains not always in flight!

If you can land in India before 5:30 AM on Sunday, you should be good. Look up flights that land before that.

I think the bigger struggle would be coming back into your home country..

Also do you have an Indian passport? India is no longer allowing foreign nationals to enter the country. Getting a visa might be an issue too.

Yeah probably a good idea.

OCI has been suspended until April 15. It would be hard to get into the country with no visa.

Contact the Indian embassy in US. There may be an Air India flight departing from JFK or EWR that they may be able to put you on.

So my bipolar dad got declined for a mortgage because disability gets shut off in < 3 years when he turns 65. So now he wants me to co-sign for him. Between housing markets being up, my concerns over his money mgmt, and concerns over tying up my credit there’s no way I can say yes. He sold his house before being approved for the new one he put in for (against my advice). I know he won’t understand and will take this personally, and the family will probably take his side. Gonna be a long week…

Any recommendations on best travel sites to book a blue grotto tour and/or lake Capri boat tour??

Hi Moms. I’m 4.5mo postpartum with my first, and I’m having incredible feelings of resentment toward my husband, who I love dearly and with whom I’ve always had a great relationship. It feels like he’s not factoring me or the baby into his decisions (e.g. going on a 4d boys trip, attending big events), while I’m left with the consequences. My mat leave is ending, and he’s now sick with COVID. He’s quarantining at my in-laws while I return to work and take care of baby. I’m so frustrated… (cont.)

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. Does anyone know of any CROs/pharma companies that are willing to hire someone with research expertise from an academic medical center rather than already in industry? Thanks!

Question for the Biglaw Bowl: How common is it to take a pay cut when being promoted from associate to income partner? I had heard about this happening at some lower ranked V100 firms. But now that I’m more senior and my friends are making partner, it sounds like it’s a lot more common than I thought and happens at firms where I wouldn’t expect it. Does anyone here have any insight into this? How common is it, how much of a pay cut, and how long until your pay catches up to associate pay?
