Was just about to add this!! Such a pretty town! And all the 🍾🍾🍾

Bruges (Belgium), I hear, is stunning. I’ve been meaning to wander over there (I live in DE) but haven’t made time. Dijon (France) is a really pretty village and great local wines. Lyon is nice too, but it doesn’t have that small village feel (largely because it’s not). Bordeaux is a bit of a haul away (by EU standards), but still accessible by high speed: absolutely fantastic city. Highly - highly - recommend.

Really depends how into wine you are. I think at a minimum two actual full days there- one visiting chateaus (St. Emilion if only one day for combo of mid evil charm and premier wine) and one seeing the city itself. Puaillac/Margaux area would be a good third day for tastings (more cab focus on the left bank vs merlot focus on the Right).

With the TGV, any major city in France is a very easy day trip from Paris. Try Lyon or Toulouse.

Thanks, was thinking of Lyon or Strasbourg initially. I will check out Toulouse as well.

Took a short flight from Paris to Nice. Explored Nice for a night and took a train to Monaco for the day. Monaco is so beautiful, definitely worth going to.

Nice was sweet, went for a long weekend last summer, and you can also take the train to Monaco or Cannes easily. Of the 3, I loved Cannes. Especially the Le Suquet area to wind down the evenings.

Normandy is absolutely worth a trip. Train is ~2.5 hours to Caen or bayeux, but having a car makes it easier to get around there. The American cemetery at Normandy is a powerful experience and history aside I was surprised by how beautiful the area was.

Brussels!!

Want to do somewhere in New England, and have spent hours googling (and did a quick search in this bowl). Would love your recommendations!
