Hi, so I got a call regarding a care coordinator position in California. They said the start pay is $20 per hour. I have some background with patients, I work as a nurse assistant (1 year experience) and have a bachelors in Healthcare management, plus worked in a front desk in a dental office. Is 20$ fair as a start? They said it's based on experience. I do want to move on honestly, because I work 12 hour shifts. And want 8-5 position. Should I just go for it if they give me that offer?

Excused myself from work today with COVID symptoms and took a test. My wife works full time & is on her own with our 3 month old until I get a negative test result... keeping it under wraps in hopes I’m not positive. No question here, but shit just got real.

Big law. I liked it because it provided the panic-like environment that keeps me motivated enough to do work, but I’m struggling because being in a constant state of panic is extremely exhausting physically and mentally. But I’m having a hard time getting motivated if there is no fire drill. Anyone found anything on that has helped?

I’ve been working in employee benefits in a small brokerage firm on a book of business of over 400 clients, I’m the only account manager. We’ve had 100% employer retention since I’ve been here. I'm really excited. I basically couldn't walk for like a week after I had COVID. Even just laying down hurt. It was like merely existing was excruciating (reminded me of the last 8 weeks or so of pregnancy honestly).

I told myself I couldn't go back to the office until I could be on my feet for several minutes (for meetings, bathroom trips, etc.). Yesterday was my first day back in the office. It was horribly painful. But today is Day 2, and I'm doing OK!!! I'm so excited!

I'm coming to a conclusion that 40 hours/week is not a good balance. Maybe for me. I left consulting only to go back to an MSP, but I am reaching burnout again.
