I have a BS in Kinesiology and an MBA in Healthcare Administration and have worked in neuro clinical testing for 17 years. So, I recently started my first job in an agency (media manager). Before this I worked on the client side, and I expected agency to be more high paced and much busier, but I don’t think that working on average 10-12 hours (or longer) a day is normal. As I said, I am new to the agency life, so I have no idea if this is the case in every agency and account, but I feel completely burned out and exhausted. Is this quite common in agencies or am I being taken advantage of?

For context, I didn’t go to portfolio school.

In my career I’ve relied on the general advice we all get from high school or undergrad to write my resume. While peeking at other Copywriter portfolios I noticed a lot of resumes basically just list their previous shops, titles, brands and tenure. I was never sure if this resume format was just for their portfolios or if they actually apply to jobs this way.

How do you format your resumes?

This is an interesting article. The clients in here are obviously ridiculous, but it's kind of the risk agencies run with the lengths they go to acquire new business. The obvious mitigation strategy is to be very deliberate about what you will and won't do, but what agency has the discipline to do that?
