Favorite family vacation spots in the US?

My SO is always adjusting our lives to accommodate his family - from our holiday plans, to where we may settle down, etc. however whenever he needs help he reaches out to my family. It really really bothers me but whenever I say it he says I’m so transactional in mindset about my family helping. Not the case imo but yes it bothers me that he has my sister help him with things but plans life to convenience his brother

Outside of it just not being what I want for a career path if I advance / I don’t find it rewarding anymore, I have greatly struggled as I’ve moved up and now with the simplest things. I’m turning in my notice this week because of how badly it affects my well being especially the last year and a half. I plan to take a long time off and look for something once I have resigned. Career Tip: Martyrdom is not rewarded in the workplace. Take your PTO. Take care of your body & your mind. Have interests and strong relationships outside of work so that you do not attach undue importance to the people at work. Protect your peace.

Do they decorate for the holidays where you work? I work at a pretty large hospital and they do the eaves and the trees outside, but I'm thinking of making some paper snowflakes and maybe getting a mini tree for the nurses station. Good idea? I don't want to offend anyone just thought it could bring some holiday cheer as corny as that is.

Anyone else seriously exhausted by the holiday season? With work, cleaning & decorating, making travel plans and shopping for presents I just feel run down and tired and we're not even close to Christmas yet. How do you plan out your dates for maternity leave? I do not want to work up until my due date because I do not want the added stress prior to birth. I also want to give the people covering for me some clear instructions and don’t want to deal with going into labor while still in the middle of managing projects. My company does STD for the first 6 weeks but there is a one week “waiting period” that’s unpaid unless you put in PTO. How do you plan your last day knowing baby could come anytime?
