Billy Jacks in Noda. Working on the 100 beer challenge they have so nice spot for the lady and I to get a drink or 2 if we’re planning on eating in Noda.
I am adding all of these to my list. I just moved here and am looking for alllll the good places. THank you for the recomendations.
Haberdish; Optimist Hall
Adding this to my lists. Thank you for the recommendation.
Is there really “hole in the wall” places in Charlotte anymore? I’m a big sports guy and find myself at Dilworth Grille or Ed’s because everything closes so dang early in this city, especially on weeknights. I also enjoy a good cocktail or siping bourbon more than beer so that strikes out a lot of breweries in this very beer focused area. That being said…
PM: Workman’s Friend
NoDa: Growlers Pourhouse
Meyers Park (generalized): Moosehead or Angry Ales
South End: Tyber
LoSo: Protagonist
Great places for cocktails: buhó, Nuvolé, Idlewild, Aura, Havana, the cellar, Sophia’s lounge
Some of my favorites (you may or may not consider them “hole-in-the-wall”:
-NoDa 101 (karaoke)
-Thomas St Tavern’s patio on a nice sunny day
-Snug Harbor
-Petra’s
-Idlewild (cocktail bar)
-Graham St Pub and Patio
-Nuvolé (rooftop bar)
-Royal Tot
-NoDa company store
-Common Marker
Good taste, drinks at workmans that end at snug harbor is such a fun night
The Thirsty Beaver in Plaza Midwood
Two Buck is my personal fav
Jack beagles in noda
For hole in the wall: Thomas Street, Hooligans, Smokey Joes. I don’t consider it a hole in the wall but Workman’s Friend is where we always end up at the end of the night.
I’d also be remised if I didn’t mention The Crunkleton.
Gin Mill
Constant line around the corner =\= hole in the wall
Plaza midwood: two bucks
