How do I find my true FIRE number, not the 4% rule based shorthand. I am at $3M net worth but I don’t own my home. Been looking into purchasing tBills on treasury direct. Near as I can tell they would currently pay ~3% for a 52 week term which is roughly .5 to 1 % more than a cd for equivalent term. So…why isn’t everyone buying these instead or CDs or Hysa? What am I missing?
