Any insight on Colliers ME strategy/implementation consulting practice?
Is it a career dead-end if I want to transition to a larger firm in the future? They seem to be growing really fast, so I feel like there’s room for quick growth and career advancement, based on some conversations I’ve had, but I don’t wanna shoot myself in the foot long term. Also heard lots of MBB and other tier 1/tier 2 firms are contracting them for parts of their engagements. Thoughts? Colliers International

Best FDD practice in Dallas?
I would lean towards FDD, demonstrates that you have some generalizable finance and analysis skills VS CMAAS where you might just get pigeonholed as a technical accounting person.

FDD for sure, assuming your post MBA goal is something non-accounting and you’re using the MBA to pivot / wash your resume of being “just” an accountant. FDD is still accounting, but gives you a lot more exposure to an operators perspective on running a business. CMAAS / FAAS is largely technical accounting focused and will make you look like even more of an accountant
I’m just gunna put in my two cents from an AAS guy. We’ve had 3 people leave for HBS in the last year or so that I know of. Our practice has less than 220 staff under partner/MD level nationwide and everyone leaving for BS was a manager or lower so do the math I doubt they look down on either your chances won’t be different either way. If you go to a top tier MBA nobody gives a crap what you did before you could get into IB after being a preschool teacher from a top 15.
