I had a horrible experience. So, I interviewed for this start up and was made an offer. I was only offered 10% hike in my current salary. I was feeling frustrated in my current job and I agreed to it. I tendered my Resignation and now they are calling me and telling me that they are not getting funds as per plans. They are not reverting to my texts and I have no job offer in hand at present.

I’m a senior at a market paying firm and we’re looking to relocate out of NYC to the suburbs, with no real preference as to where yet. What are the best burbs that offer the best [public] schools, best commute to NYC midtown, diversity in neighborhood, good things to do in the town within a few minutes drive or whatever, etc. We can prob spend about $1.5M for a new abode. What’s the time of year with the most consulting exit opportunities into industry?

It’s been 2 weeks since my final round interview. 1 week after final round HR told me he’d have an update “end of week or early next week.” Its Tuesday night and I haven’t heard anything from him. Should I follow up again tomorrow morning? The final interview went well and I got good feedback. Not sure if I’m out of the running. I know they were finishing up the final round interviews last week.

Am I wise for staying at my current company to be promoted to another team instead of trying to pivot at another company? While my promotion is looking likely, it’s taking a while.
