FDD people. What time do you typically sign off for the day when you’re on a deal?

I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Any thoughts?

This was supposed to be the first year EY implemented a firm-wide mid-year bonus which would have been paid in January. Curious if other firms have a mid year bonus (based on their fiscal year) and if so, what have the amounts been historically? Select high performers with high utilization will still receive a little something this year similar to prior years (only ~$5k-10k tho).

Less than a year into my role as an analyst in IT audit. Took the role with the hopes of transferring to a finance-focused group and after passing CFA L1 I mentioned this to my coach last week (also hold an MS in Finance, FWIW).

He said we should move on this quickly and to send him over a few projects / teams I’d want to work with.

If I would eventually like to find myself in IB, is my best bet to try transferring into the valuations group and also, how should I frame my outreach?!

Got offered 83k to start as an analyst for Deloitte’s controllership advisory position. Coming from one year. Of audit experience from pwc. Should I accept this pay from Deloitte? I hear A1’s in pwc advisory make 84k and A2’s make 95k. I feel used and undersold.

Should I continue working toward getting my CPA? I’m a second year staff in audit and just finished my 3 busy season (1st one from internship) and am burned out. I know I don’t want to stay in audit nor do I want my next job to be anything primarily accounting related. I want to get into transaction advisory (or somewhere in the realm off M&A), FDD, or turnaround & restructuring.

I hope our firm is careful in deciding comp in the next 2 weeks. It’s too easy to double one’s comp and turn to investment banking.
