February I have been on my job 28 years. The owners up and sold the business without a notice. I am salary and have always received my salary on vacation week plus vacation pay. New owners said that’s the stupidest thing they ever heard and it will no longer be received. I’m exhausted giving a job this many years and feeling I now have to start all over. Does anyone have any advice how should I handle this. At this point I think it’s time to find another job but fear of not making as much money.

If companies don't share compensation ranges for different levels do people just assume it's good and that's enough motivation to move up?

Hi fishes! I am in final HR discussions with Ericsson. They are offering Job Stage 5 -- 13lpa (not final). Java Spring Boot, YoE 4.5/5.9. CCTC is 7.7lpa and offer in hand is 11lpa. Am I being low balled as per Ericsson's standards?

Need advice. Leadership originally referred to us as Specialists. For the past month or so, they've been telling us we're Project Managers in absolutely no uncertain terms.

I was offered a new job in Internal Audit/ Consulting role at my current employer. W/ a jump in pay-grade level, 1 level (Hay Grade 16 to 17), and a 20% increase in salary ($108K to $130K) and 5% increase in potential bonus pay-out (10% to 15%). Hello All, Office Sup. for a major hospital, w/ 15 years experience. I have lots of experience in every position in the office, especially in training. I recently applied for an EPIC trainer position within the company and according to Glassdoor the average pay is about 23k more than what I currently make. I’m afraid of getting a lowball offer since 1. they obviously know my current salary and 2. I’d be new at this particular role, although I meet qualifications. Any advice if that’s the case?

Got an offer at a startup Sr BI Analyst for 120k base and 10k in equity. I had an informal call with the new manager today where he told me these numbers and I said I would take a day to think - they sent over a formal letter via Rippling.

Im going to counter offer in the morning, I guess by sending an email? Thinking about aiming for 5k bump in base and 10k bump in equity? Is that unreasonable?

I’m unsure what the proper time is to ask for a salary bump.

I *know* they’re going to lowball me at $50k. How can I turn it down with tact OR convince them that I’ll need $70k+ to be worth the stress and hassle?
