Hello everyone , can anybody give a referral for their company, i am looking for a security engineering role, pen testing role.

Looking for some perspective and advice. I’ve moved to an in-house analytics organization for a large fortune 10 company and have prior experience with a big 4 and a startup as head of analytics & data science.

Received an offer at an advertising agency for a senior role (slightly more money) and torn on taking the offer or not. This would be my first stint with an ad agency. Potential reasons against: 1) risk? I’m in the safe side already 2) longer hours? 3) less upside growth potential?

Any *experienced* AE’s here in the cloud/data management/cybersecurity space interested in a new role?

I started an in-house role about 5 months ago and I still don’t have enough work. I feel like I’m constantly flagging that I have capacity, but nothing has changed. Given the state of the economy, I’m getting worried about layoff and have started looking for new jobs. Any recs for how to spin my quick departure in interviews? Is being honest and talking about low volume okay?

Do ey has good data science projects on going as I have seen they did so much hiring for data scientist/data engineers in past 2 months?

Give notice or ask to renegotiate? Recently interviewed for a comparable role and received an offer of ~16% higher than current comp. I enjoy my role, but the new company seems to have better career progression opportunities. Do I just give notice and expect them to attempt to retain, or do I go in asking to more comp to stay?

Is there extra pressure to perform each and every day on a freelance gig? Seems too much of a pressure chamber to me. I suppose it depends on the gig, but as a writer, I'd be of little use if I'm not submitting killer stuff each time - Scripts, lines, tags, manifesto. Like you can't have an "off day" it all you are there for is your word docs, rights?

Whereas an AD can be a killer thinker, but in a pinch, can be a deck builder (extra hands) type of helper.

I recently ended a three-year relationship and are looking to move to a new city to start fresh. I’m looking for an affordable city with good nature perks (mostly hiking, camping). With PwC’s wfh policy I’m able to not go to the office. However, I’m still early in my career and I still would like to stay reasonably close to a PwC office. I’m really interested in SLC, but I’ve also seen people saying it’s kind of conservative. I’m Asian and non US citizen so that’s why I have concerns.

I’ve accepted an offer to start at a new consultancy Oct. 1

Current employer’s contract requires 1mo notice. I’d have liked to give my notice today (Aug 1) so that I can potentially take a month off between jobs, but my direct manager is on vacation until next week and I’ve only accepted the offer letter, not signed the employment contract.

Bad move to give advanced notice?
