I searched for a year before I got my offer. I start the new job in a week and am so excited. The hunt can get discouraging, but keep your head up and know that it’s a numbers game. Keep applying, interviewing and sending out positive vibes! The right job is coming your way!

Keep going! I’m going through the same thing. You aren’t alone. Remember rejection is a redirection

Thank you to everyone. I will keep you all posted when something eventually works out 🥲💕

I was searching for a little over a year and just got my exit last week! Before that I was interviewing on and off, alternating between periods of high motivation and periods of dejection. This summer I actually had a lot of interviews lined up for interesting tech companies and none of them panned out. It was so exhausting prepping for and doing multiple rounds for multiple companies simultaneously only to be told no. I was taking some time off from recruiting when someone in my network reached out about an ops role at a startup, and I got my offer within a week. I’m so excited for this role and can’t wait to get started! But if you told me two weeks ago that I’d be at this point I wouldn’t have believed you. All this to say, take some time off if you need it to rest and recharge, and keep going! It seems like everybody on FB is exiting every other day, but we all have our journeys to get to that point. Keep it up, and you got this!! 😊

This is a lot like dating…the vast majority of first dates (or even LTRs) don’t lead to marriage. The vast majority of interviews don’t lead to great jobs. It’s not you - it’s a numbers game, and eventually the numbers line up the same way for you AND the prospective new employer and that’ll be the right job.

You got this!! I searched for about 9 months. I tried to reframe rejections - if it wasn’t a good match, I’d rather know now vs a year or two down the road. It still hurt, but made it a bit easier for me to process. Keep searching the perfect fit is out there and it will be totally worth the wait when you find it 💕

The last time I changed roles I applied around for AT LEAST a year and a half. It was very discouraging but when I was finally offered my current job it was a great fit for me so I’m glad all the others didn’t work out

Hi OP, a friend once told me that a job search feels like forever but once you get the role it all seems so short and worthwhile. It’s only long now because you’re still looking for the right one that fits you. Stay positive— you’ll get there!

In the same boat OP. Some days are harder than others but on the days when it's not so heavy, do things that bring you joy. Those memories are comforting when things get hard.

I got my current position after applying for a position LAST YEAR lol and they got back to me like 8 months later during recruiting season. I was obviously applying to other places in between and was in a similar spot as you. Keep doing what you are doing! It will work out!!

I looked for 2 years and then got that I really liked.. have been here for 2 years now and again hunting.. hang in there and believe me, this is not the first and last time. Do it with ease, do your best and leave the rest. More power to you! You will shine

I just got passed over for a tech role I interviewed for that I really wanted. You're not alone! I have been at it off and on for the last 3 months. It feels even more distressful when you really don't like your current role which is the situation I'm in now. I keep reminding myself though that it's worth the wait for me to find the right fit because I don't wanna end up in the same position I am currently where I don't find my role fulfilling. What's meant for you will find you!
