I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. If it makes any difference, I worked for AWS ProServe as an external SA in the past. Any insights / feedback appreciated.

They’re still interviewing candidates or waiting on a green light from finance. It sucks but it happens all the time. Most recruiters aren’t professional enough to respond and maintain communication with candidates. Hang in there! Best of luck!
Hiring freezes can happen any time, without hiring managers even knowing it until the last step when they connect with finance! Crazy right?
And it’s not the norm to let the external candidate know, so they end up thinking they got rejected 🥲 there’s been a lot of lay offs happening lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if companies were slow to hire
No advice but wishing you luck - keep going, you’ve got this!!
Just happening to me right now, had 4 rounds of interviews, including presentation, and got ghosted for a 1.5 week, sent out an email, was told recruiter gonna connect with me; but by the tone of the message kinda obvious I didn’t get it. Yet, I also saw they just posted fresh job ads for the same position.
I got used to ghosting at the initial stages but it kinda suck when you’re one of the final candidates, no need to wait two weeks to send a rejection if they’re clearly moving on, so I feel ya! But unless you have an offer, nothing really is a guarantee
