Sometimes it feels like I can't tell dreams vs memories apart bc my dreams are so vividly realistic but my life memories are fading/slipping due to suppression (not talking about them, not reliving them) and mostly since becoming anti-social after some PTSD events and growing up hyper independent. Most of the time I question if something I "remember" happened in real life, or if it was something from a dream.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need help? How do I ask for help? Who to ask?

What’s changed in your life recently to cause this to start happening? Any way to reduce the triggering?

I’ve had some pretty realistic dreams and night sweats from over anxious thinking and life related stresses. I started exercising more and meditating and it seems like that’s helping. But I also do therapy.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

Hoping someone has gone through this themseleves. I'm 56, had a heart attack 6 years ago. Lost 45lbs, ran my 1st 1/2 marathon 1 yr after my heart attack. Did great for 4 years, but lockdown, not allowed to go outside to run well you get it. Now I'm having a rough time getting motivated again, gained my weight back & everything is sore these days. Struggling with food again. Helpfull suggestions anyone? Anyone in the same boat now, maybe we can help motivate eachother.

Looking for some advice. I'm 35 turning 36 soon. After 2 months of trying with my husband, I got pregnant. We were so happy until finding out 7 weeks later we miscarried. My doctor is telling me to wait another 6 months and keep trying. Then we would start looking at fertility and going down that route. It has been 2 months and haven't gotten pregnant (after the miscarriage). I'm thinking of setting up an appointment with fertility clinic now versus waiting another 4 months. Any advice for me?

Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?

Nothing unique about my depression - I’m in big law, my career defines me, when I’m not working I can’t find the will to get off the couch, I’m sad or I’m numb…I know I’m the only one that can make a change to my life…I’m on antidepressants. Just extremely unmotivated and paralyzed. Self-help books are not for me, but I am curious - has anyone tried a guided depression/anxiety journal? Any recommendations if so? Or, if you have experienced the same, what steps did you take?

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate so much and feel very lucky to have a job BUT I am losing all the energy and excitement regardles of the project. Every day I struggle with going back to this consulting work. I just don't have the energy to focus (this is not the case for other things and side hustles). I started Zoloft almost 2 months ago. It’s helped with my anxiety and depression but I’m worried I’m feeling the emotional numbing/blunting.
