Fellow bowl members, this maybe a silly question. For those of you who are single, how do you find other singles who also like to be child free?

I have been running into this challenge for almost 2 years now that I am unable to get far anywhere with my date when I present my dealbreaker i.e. not wanting kids.

I usually bring it up before even if I meet a potential date. I like to know that we have alignment on core values. It's a waste of time, otherwise.

Any luck with work appropriate top/bottom combos that hide the bump? Flowy dresses aren’t appropriate in my office. Maybe maternity leggings, tunic top, blazer, booties? If you have any specific item links that’d be super helpful!

Hello everyone! I am looking for advice. I am a C&B Team lead ( about 15 years of experience) but all my experience was in Russia. Now I got married and moved to UK , plus we have got a baby in 2019 so now I am looking for a job in UK having 3 years of career break. Although, I am getting CIPD lvl 7 diploma this year. How much does someone's career affect how compatible you think you are with them?

It’s been 2 months since I quit work. It took that long to feel “normal” again. My friends have been saying I seem happier. I picked up some old hobbies again and started exercising! There are days when lack of productivity makes me anxious. A part of me then wishes I could have been like this while still working in PA. Maybe if I’d tried harder, I could have had a decent work like balance?
Still, I am starting to believe that quitting was the best decision for me. 💕

Can we talk about how having kids causes people to hoard resources? And protect themselves (because their kids need them) when they otherwise might have made sacrifices to protect others from harm? And do pretty much any kind of damage to anyone else when it comes down to it in the name of protecting their kids?

It bothers me how much societal good is impeded, and how much damage is allowed, due to people's ultimate obligation to their children, which they chose to take on.

Do you feel like nowadays more men than women want kids? Considering they suffer less negative effects physically, socially, and career-wise.

My mom keeps pressuring us to have kids because she says when we are old we will have no one to take care of us. I imagine with the growing number of purposefully childfree couples, what resources should we look into to prepare for our future (outside of retirement savings, etc.) that normally children would help with? I refuse to have kids as an insurance policy for us being lonely or needing assistance later in life.

So my jackass ex didn’t really want any kids. Excuses: Not a great childhood, postgrad intl student loans, my cancer diagnosis, career focus, no close family. I made the adjustments to accept the unexpected and now am SUPER happy things turned out the way it did. He’s now engaged to a single mom despite being adamant against children. I’ve heard this happen ALOT…anyone else?!?

Today I slept in until 9:30, ate breakfast in bed that my SO picked up from an expensive pastry shop, and then settled in for several hours of SATC re-runs and working on a puzzle. When do you have conversation about not wanting kids in the future when start dating someone new? Late twenties F dating late twenties M, not exclusive yet. I think I am afraid to bring it up to learn that they want kids in the future and I will have to end it after that. I don’t want to date just to date and waste my time. I know I need to do it but damn! I mentioned it in a passing but did not have a concentrated conversation about it. How are you all deal with this?
