Fellow EY fish- how much was Oocyte identification? And how much was freezing and storage? My doctors office is charging me $700 but I thought it was covered by EYs insurance. Thank you!

Cryopreservation is covered by EY’s insurance plan if you enroll in the fertility benefit program, and it’s about $1,000 upfront and then $1,000/year after that. I don’t know what oocyte identification is. Ultrasounds typically cost $500 and egg retrieval could cost $4,000, covered by insurance.

Thank you! Did you pay $1000 out of pocket for the cryopreservation or did the insurance cover it?

i feel like staying in consulting isn’t a matter of how efficient/hardworking you are. it’s about your personality’s ability to let the “bad” flow over your shoulders more easily than others who might harbor and resent the lifestyle. That said, consulting is so not for me. The health issues Ive gotten from the intensity of this job is literally astounding. Like I don’t even feel human at this point, but others on my team are fine. it’s a personality thing
