Fellow fishes, I don't have visa issues and in need of additional income... Any tips for side gigs that I can explore? Would love to try something in the customer service area? TIA!

How much “additional” income are you hoping to make? If it is a low number like 5-10%, maybe look for something like Uber, Lyft or other gig economy jobs. Bigger numbers can only be made with bigger investments (think franchises, real estate investments, etc). Since you work for a Big4, you should think about how much time you’ll have outside of work, and also if any of your side gigs will be in conflict with your employment agreement

AirBnb? Uber?

Key is to find something that aligns with your current strengths and work. People ignore the compounding effect of the sidegig. Minimum wage work for Uber or flipping burgers does not add to much IMO.

I am on my 3rd H1B company and joined recently. The current employer is someone whom I have worked for before. If I get a better offer in the upcoming months, I would take it. I am concerned that the current one wouldn’t give me a customized Employment Verification Letter. I would need to get it from a common company template. How important it is to have a customized EVL and signature of the manager?
