ZS Associates Hello folks, I am a permanent employee of Persistent. I am deputed at the client side. My client is an ZS associate. Recently I have resigned from persistent. But ZS is very happy with my work. They don't want me to go. My ZS manager has asked the persis manager to retain me OR remove the cooling period clause, ZS is ready to hire me as a permanent employee. I will be very happy is ZS takes me as Permanent employee. But will persistent remove cooling period clause? Persistent Systems Limited ZS

No..EY by default posts LCA for ur base location. So 3 years for ur h1, and say u only have a client project for 6 months..u will submit an amendment/LCA again after 6 months for a new location
Guys, absolutely nothing has changed. Can u guys tell me how it's different. We always needed amendments for new locations. Onky difference here I see is that the directive of not even starting work until the LCA was filed. Again, this is to tackle all the lazy bums out there who think it's not their responsibility to keep a tab on the status in spite of an email every month reminding you to do an assessment. Giving an itinerary of wirk performed - this was an RFE on my previous amendment and extension. I really don't see anything different.
U shud technically still get your h1. As I said, we r comparing ourselves to the way body shops operate and freaking out.
Your 'original' h1b defines terms of where u want to work. Ey randomly puts 3-4 big cities. So if ur new client is within jurisdiction of these addresses, you are fine. If not an amendment is filed. Now if ur amendment is denied, you still have the right to work per original terms i.e. those 4 cities that u already have approval. And EY can again file amendment if they know reason for denial
Sure..there are still grey areas which our law firm is working out..but it mostly is okay. Other body shops
1) do not have base location . They work only and only out of client locations
2) they are not state side employees. They are not employees of a US corporation.
And other conditions..Too much to type but u get the idea
we can do nothing right now. but it seems the impact is massive and the leadership is hands on for this particular issue
Except the risk of having the entire visa rescinded or the duration modified to fit the latest SOW is much higher now
Are you saying that uscsis doesn't/can't cancel the existing visa in case they deny the amendment request?
Aah,makes sense. Thanks EY2.
