One of my friends is looking for a change in her career. She has an MBA in healthcare management. At present, she is managing an outpatient clinic. She is required to put in crazy hours, and pay is not that great. She’s been doing this for a couple of years now, and ready to switch it to more of a corporate role. Any recommendations on how she should go about making the switch? Any companies out there hiring with no prior consulting experience? Thanks in advance for your help on this!

Had my 401k in all VINIX last year, and it served me well. I rebalanced to 20% large cap, 20% mid cap, 20% small cap, 20% Int’l, and 20% bonds. The Int’l diversification is pulling me down significantly. Would you shift that 20% back to large cap or just say it will payoff later to diversify? My IRA is pretty tech heavy, so trying to be mindful.

I am a Senior Account Manager managing large commercial P&C accounts. In your opinion, what destination (CPCU, ARM, etc) would be most helpful from a day-to-day knowledge standpoint? I want to gain additional knowledge but feel like I’m at a standstill. My bosses are willing to pay for it.

I have my 3rd out of 4 interviews today for an internal transfer. This position wouldn’t be a promotion but rather a lateral move. 4 interviews? That’s more than an outside hire, the whole reason I’m being considered is my unique value I’ll be bringing to that department.

P.s my final interview is with my current manager who is NOT in charge of the new department… he also told me he didn’t think I was ready for the change when I initially told him I was making a move. Let’s see how it goes!

I just want to check if can we ask for Associate projects for 27 months experience ? Or in how many months a normal programmer analyst changes to associate ?

Anyone has experience negotiating a medical bill with MGH. I got some blood work done and was sent a bill of 1800. The bill was 2700 but negotiated rate with my insurance is 1800. I got the exact same blood work done in NC 2 years back and it cost me <200. My insurance said i should have gone to labcorp. I am new to Boston and didn't know this. MGH says prices are higher as we are a teaching hospital. It's just open loot and does not make sense. Anyone dealt with a similar situation.

Started a new job last week and have not received much training other than HR videos on company policies. Been begging for some guidance from my new boss and coming up empty.
