Changing from Vacation and Sick Time to just plain PTO starting in Jan. Staff can save up to 40hrs of their accrued Sick Time banks to use in 2022 in addition to their new PTO.
We have a part-time employee with more than 40 sick hours who will try to use as much of their Sick Time as they can before Jan 1. If this person has an avg weekly schedule of 17.5 hrs, can we stop them using sick time if their sick + work time will take them over their 17.5 scheduled hours?
How much in-hand Salary i can expect ???
Came across an interesting game that allows people to share accomplishments, troubles, and what you're excited about for the future. It's been a crazy year.
Rose (best thing that happened to you this year)
Thorn (some trouble you had this year)
Bud (what are you excited about for the future)
My rose - i finished my incubator tech course and was able to launch my wine beta app.
Thorn - job hopped too many times this yr and felt like i wasted time
Bud - excited about the launch of Vinyo
Looked into some of these transcribe/writer, sites/services. All I can think of is the movie HER.
After how many job switches do people usually settle down? And will there be any problem with future opportunities if we switch every 2 to 3 years?

Hey everyone! I need to pass FAR by end of April before I lose audit. It’s my last exam!! Did anyone use i75 or Ninja as their main review course for FAR? I’ve been going through Becker and I’m having a hard time grasping the information. I’m trying to take the exam in 5 weeks so that I leave myself enough time for a retake if I need to. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
These are comfy AF
I got an offer from Marcum LLP as a first year assurance associate in the Bay Area - is it typical to be paid hourly? It says I’m eligible for overtime. Also curious what typical starting salary should be in the Bay Area?

Moving to San Diego from Santa Barbara. Looking to be relatively central so I can meet people, go out for drinks or other fun active activities (I'm a runner) What are your thoughts on the vibes in Banker's Hill vs. Point Loma (liberty station) vs Little Italy vs North Park? Is there somewhere else I should be considering?

Ladies in leadership - This is a critical reminder: When a male colleague asks you for “help” with an administrative task, refer him to his executive assistant. Resist resist resist the urge and the social conditioning to be “helpful” to male colleagues in this way. If you need to ask me why, please do. But I’m hoping that the reasons may be occurring to you as you’re reading this. You’re welcome!

I quit my job because my manager (CEO) was extremely toxic. I wasn’t the only one who quit for that reason either. What’s the best professional response for “I see there’s a gap in your resume. Why did you leave your last role?”
Ok ladies I need help. Job searching has got me down & I just don’t know where to go from here. Common theme in job postings I was seeing was a desire for a CERTIFIED Scrum Master. So I studied my butt off & got my certification. Yet I’m being told that even though my resume is impressive I need more experience. How are you supposed to gain experience if you can’t even get your foot in the door with the desired certifications & “an impressive resume”? All suggestions welcomed cause I’m at a loss
What were some breaking points for you that made it clear it was time for a change in career?. I've been with my company for 10 years and I'm having a hard time with making this decision
Raise chat! I am approaching 1 year with my company and am unsure of how to approach my CEO when asking for a raise. When I first came on, I was given a 5% raise after 3 months. I was promoted at 5 months but just in title, and a lot of responsibility. I believe I am long overdue for a salary increase and the overall cost of living is insane. I would like to ask for something closer to 15% but I’m not sure if that’s appropriate. Any advise?
Does anyone have any connections with decision makers at reputable modeling agencies for a young aspiring model?
Best shoes for work that aren’t Rothy’s. Go! (I recent bought a pair of Tom’s slingback heels and a wedge and they’re both pretty decent.)

Found out my mom and step dad are separating after 20+ years due to my moms narcissistic personality. I heard this from my step dad and have not heard from my mom yet about it. I am planning to keep a relationship with both parents after the separation, so I’d like to stay as neutral as possible even though I understand where my step dad is coming from and don’t blame him for not wanting to stay any longer. Should I reach out to her or let her tell me when she’s ready?
For the group founders and entrepreneurs - how did you turn your idea into an actual business model and get the technology up and running? What sources helped you through the process?

Would you take a small pay cut to work for a higher rated company in role that moves you from individual contributor to manager?
Went to a happy hour yesterday, and while I remember almost everything, I do not probably remember 5% of convos. I’m not someone who acts stupid/immature but have been dealing with some stuff personally. Really kicking myself for my behavior and feeling stressed. If I said anything shitty, would people ping me to tell? Work went on as normal today, but still feeling uneasy..
Interviewed for a role and after several months made it to the final round only to be recommend for another role. I saw the role recently reposted as a contract position( I’m positive no one was hired)…any thoughts?
I just took over a team of three very anxious people. They are all very valuable to the company, but I also care about them as people. Does anyone have any coaching program recommendations for me to take to help my employees overcome their anxiety?

What courses would you recommend (or avoid) to improve my overall management skills? I am reading books, articles and my company provides me with a career coach. I am 38, and don't really want to go back to school. I have my BS in Psychology, but am a Director in Finance. Don't necessary want the cost that comes with an MBA.

I am also pear shaped and in the summer I opt for a-line dresses. I basically live in the Hill House Nap Dress style all season long… 🤷♀️
So this is my sign to buy a nap dress finally 😇
Check out videos on YouTube.. there are several. I’ll post link if I can find the YouTuber I’m thinking of that has content on this.
A-line dresses are your friend now. Check out MM Lafleur- it’s my favorite work brand ever. They’ve got lots of basically new second hand stuff on Poshmark too.
