I work 40 hours a week unless I’m in the final stages of a launch.
I used to do that. I found a system that worked for me and allowed me to work 25 hrs a week. As long as my tasks are completed, I don't get any complains.
I generally do 40hr weeks. Depends on the week though and the product cycle.
I typically work 30 hours a week. But I definitely spend more time, that usually takes me 10 hours more, weeks or days before a product launch.
I don’t really monitor or count. I know that leading up to or during a launch, I will probably work more hours. My perspective is that at this level some weeks may require more hours than others. I also have moments when I’m not working where I have an epiphany, idea, or urge to work on something.I hop on the computer and complete the work or task
I know there’s an increasing culture of working only the hours you get paid, and I get that. Given the coverage and workload of a product marketer, I’m surprised that some folks are able to keep that strict work schedule. Though they’re typically at the junior level.
Yes. I have almost always worked under a 40 hour limit as a product marketer. There will always be some exceptions, like around a big launch or planning time. If you're finding yourself regularly working more than 40 hours a week every week, re-evaluate and re-prioritize.
