Should hit £100k next week when I get my new compensation (was just promoted). Am 22 years old, coming up to 2Y post-UG in a couple of months. This will be my 2nd promotion in 2 years (consistently rated distinctive - top 5% in each performance cycle).
Expecting base to jump to £80k + £20k bonus + £12k employer pension contribution + £5k retention bonus next week.
Expecting base to jump to £90/95k in December if I can swing another distinctive rating (will be 23 then).

Machine Learning.
Just hit £60k (likely to be £70k TC with bonus/overtime/pension) at 25, 3 years out of uni. Came in via the experienced hire route, think I’ll jump to industry in the next year, so hopefully by 27.

Which practice?
This thread is wild. Deloitte doesn’t even compare 🥲

SC1’s report is very different to reports from my other MD colleagues - many over 4 years in are on <£70k

This is making me sad. Can we have more non-MBB answers? 🥲
It takes on avg 12 years to hit 100k at Deloitte! So 33 if I stay that long
Which, if we take a step back, is actually really good! There will always be better paid jobs/ firms etc, but being able to make £100k by mid-30s is great. Most people will never get close!
Mid 30s, senior manager, not there yet. FML.
Lol B3, I’m actually American, and a former New Yorker at that!
Will be at £100K (~£112K to be more precise) next year (3Y after UG). Currently 24Y, so will reach it at 25Y.
The figures are for year 4.
OW and McK please feel free to share yours too!

Y'all include pensions in your TC?

Yes, we’re more like a tech company so don’t care too much about the Oxbridge name
All i want to say is that our paychecks are laughably low compared to our NYC counterparts whilst living costs are the same :(

It baffles me that the low salaries – in Public Sector especially – are almost seen as a point of pride.
In cities like NYC, LA, San Fran, Washington DC, you have many public sector employees earning 6-figures. It incentivizes well-meaning high achievers to resist the urge of private sector.
I have Ivy League educated friends who would have been bankers deciding to work for the government or charter schools instead because they could still earn a decent salary.
29, Not there yet. 3.5 YoE, just hit £75k. At least 2 more years for £100k
Age 24. BCG, three years after starting. (Consultant grade, standard promotion timelines but no gap year or late start)
Thanks mate! How about the levels going up?
£100k at HV is at Director grade so maybe like at 40? That’s if you’re lucky and stay that long
Will be just over £110k TC (excluding any pension contributions) for the upcoming year (just been promoted) at 2.5 years post UG - 25 years old
Yeah of course - recently promoted to Consultant. As for group, I’m not aligned to any sector yet and do a fairly even mix of strat and deal work
Should get there at 26/27 if everything goes as planned, so c. 1/2y away. Started working at 22. Boutique ops. consultancy.
Not T2, but very well paying vs. YoE if you start there after graduation. Not as well paying if you get there after a couple of years as they tend to make people start from analyst position even if they have 2/3 YoE. It’s supply chain & procurement focused so not the most exciting job.
Currently a Senior in tax and it will take me another 6 years to reach £100k
28. Started at big 4 three years after graduating
27, moving from M at Accenture into industry
E-Commerce & cyber security

34. 7 years in industry>6 years at b4>boutique
I love this thread. It just makes you realize why some employers need to step up their game.

Hm, interesting that the hours are the same. At D the hours are better. Agree that public sector work has grown massively for consulting.
First year post-MBA, which I did at 30yo. Strategy&.
I’m interviewing with EYP and they mentioned that MBAs come in at manager year 1
Slightly less than 3 years post undergrad. 86k base, around 15k bonus.
Any Big 4 fish want to share total comp 3 years in? I didn’t think the disparity would be so large ...
Around 70k for MD
