Wharton just because I'm a snob for the name. Not sure that is a valid reason behind a decision though hahahah
As an MBA, i would lay my focus less on the YOE/timing but comparing the programs and what the offer, how they differentiate etc
What is it that you want to get out of this experience? Not all schools teach the same, structure the same etc.

I personally don’t think this is something we can answer for you. Each school has different things to offer and choosing one would depend on what you’re looking to do post MBA. I do see you mentioned your focus area and goals but keep in mind that you could go to any MBA program and excel at your long term goals.
Full transparency, when I was applying I was dead set on Wharton. Amazing program, an even more amazing alumni network, and an overall great MBA experience.

I went to Wharton. Can confirm MBB heavily recruits there. I also applied to NYU but not CBS or Yale. Happy to talk about my experience if that would help. Kids and career may not happen exactly when and how you plan, so do what is best to get to the next step in front of you. We have the rest of our lives to work, don’t stress about the exact timeline.

You can get into MBB from any of those schools - they are desperate for talent these days. So choose the school you like the best and/or the school that gives you the best scholarships.

I went to Wharton and am former MBB and did a ton of recruiting while at MBB
Curious, why do you think you wouldn’t get into Wharton / CBS with 4 YOE? Will that extra pre-MBA year be significantly different that it would change your admissions outcomes so much?
FWIW, I’m going to Wharton with 4 YOE. Wanted to go as early as possible to hit my stride in my career before kids, but I also wanted the Wharton name. You can have both!
That makes sense. I think the schools you listed could all get you to MBB, but the HCM program will open doors in healthcare and especially healthcare VC that I don’t think the others necessarily will (or not as easily, anyway). Depending on how much time and effort you’re able to devote to apps this fall, you could always shoot your shot now. If it doesn’t work out, reapply next year
Assuming the price tag is the same, Wharton or CBS. If you get significant scholarship dollars any of the 4 are fine. You already have consulting experience. So even if MBB slows recruiting at non-M7’s due to a recession, you should still get a look
