Hey guys. So I have been in financial due diligence (FDD) for some time now. Focus mainly in healthcare manufacturing and providers. I received a note from a recruiter about a business development & strategy position at a healthcare product manufacturer (surgical tools and such). I’m comfortable with a role like this on the M&A front, but I guess I’d be concerned on strategy formulation? I do think the skills in buy side FDD can translate well into a strategy role. What do you guys think?

What skills do you need to exit smoothly from consulting after 2-3 YOE. How do you best make those years count?

If I were to apply internally for a position outside the US, would anyone know (i.e. PC or counselor)? I would apply for my current position in my home country

I’m possibly going into a VP content lead role at a big bank company. I told the recruiter my base salary was 140k but I think I lowballed myself. After speaking to the team and learning more, I know I definitely did. Any idea what I should ask for? This role is based in NYC.

Had info interview with someone from college about joining firm. I see lots of red flags. Still refer her for referral bonus? Still smart and could be a good fit, but I didn't like her attitude

HR screen interview, HR rep gave salary range of $85K- $135K & refused my next round interview w/ hiring mgr until I named specific range in which I stated $115k- $135k. HR rep then stated during screen I agreed to $115k although I said I needed to complete interviews w/hiring mgr to determine my number. All interviews finished/never discussed salary again, anticipating offer at 115k. Do I have a strong case to counter 130k if that’s the market rate & many yrs experience in this position?

So I gave interview in daffodil, two rounds were there.
One is system design , problem solving and Most of technical - went very good.
Second round is managerial - all answers I gave it also went very well.
Then happened the HR discussion they offered me less what I was asking but they assured you will get the offer letter soon.

Now even after 1 week there is no offer letter and when I called HR, she is saying the position got on hold. What kind of behaviour is that?
I am not feeling good 😭

Can someone help me understand how stock options at a startup work? I just started a new job at a startup and the vesting and all that I understand, but what I don't understand is how they are worth anything to me unless I stay long enough for them to go public?

So let's say hypothetically I only stay there a year and so I'm entitled to 1/4 of the options I was given, but the company has not gone public yet, are they worth anything/will I be able to get any kind of pay out on them?
