McKinsey & Company Career advice needed. Thanks in advance. What would be a potential feasible path to make the transition from Big Four assurance role to MBB consulting role? I have 1 year experience in industry as FP&A and couple months as fund accountant before I graduated from school and went to Big four as IT auditor and could switch to core auditor ,cybersecurity or ECG advisory etc. I’ll get the CPA and CFA soon and have some basic coding skillsets. Considering to do MBA/graduate degree if necessary. McKinsey & Company PwC Deloitte
Hi All,
I have 7 years of experience in total in SAP Integration technology and I have been offered C2 manager position with Capgemini with a package of 30.5 LPA.
Is it good to join? Can I still contribute technically at C2 role? Or would it be pure managerial role? Also please let me know how much variable pay would be paid at this role? I have around 2.8L variable per year as a part of the package.
Any pointers will be highly appreciated Capgemini
Finished interviewing for an ATS role at Microsoft Wednesday. The interviewers said they were recommending me but I haven’t gotten any feedback from the recruiter. I’m at PwC S& and in consulting I always got at least a verbal yes day of or next day after interviewing. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? Do you get a verbal first or do they wait to have a contract?
Hey Googlers, I’m going in for my GCP TAM second round on Monday and had a few QQs for you all:
1. For the RRK2 case study if there is a scenario for handling peak time workloads where the client did a lift & shift of a monolithic architecture, is the best suggestion to move them to micro services to enable serverless and auto scaling features?
2. I was told that they’ll give me 15 mins to prep after the case study is shared live, would you suggest I build a 1 pager or is that not required?Google

Hello,
Last Wednesday I was able to get a Deloitte job referral, I applied the next day. Yesterday I signed in to my account and it shows that I applied for the job but when I click on the link it show me an error page. I searched for the job on the website itself and it disappeared. There were like multiple positions but different locations, now they’re all expired. What does this mean? Did they choose a candidate already? It’s weird it never happened to me before
Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

While I can’t speak to BCG’s hiring standards s rules, if the feedback truly was “you’re a great fit but this role is too senior for your experience” then I can’t see how that’s held against you. If this was just a reason they gave, or if there was other disqualifying feedback then that could be different.
I know at McK we have a 1 year cool off period for applicants who are turned down.
Omg, chill out! Im not being arrogant, far from it. I was genuinely wondering about this 12 month cool period that consulting companies enforce. If you’ve read my post you’d know that I’m not a consultant and this is all new to me. If anyone is being arrogant it’s you. 1) I posed a question about BCG and you start answering about McK lol 2) then you make all kinds of assumptions as to why I didn’t get the role in a very condescending manner and 3) you actually insult me with the latest comment. Sheesh someone needs a chill pill.

If it’s recent enough, I would reach out to your recruiter and ask. The typical timeline is a year cool down period, but interview performance can cut that down significantly. We’re hiring quite heavily. So, I can see your chances optimistically given the feedback they gave you.
Thanks!
