A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group
Any job openings? Lol

Better to come prepared than not.
EY 1 - TOTALLY! I didn't think of that but yes that too!
I think this is a small price to pay for getting a new job with more money.
But to answer your question, you can ask the recruiter and see which interviews are usually with cameras on. I don’t think that’s unprofessional.
This is what you’re concerned about when interviewing? Lol
Well looking presentable is part of interviewing
Pro
Pretty reasonable to ask the recruiter what to expect. It’s similar to asking what the dress expectations are if you were coming for an on-site interview.
That said, I’ve asked candidates to stop their video during the call if we end up with connection difficulties on either end
Pro
Totally normal. Just ask if "it's a video call or phone so you can prepare accordingly", no explanation or hesitation needed.
That's an extra hour of sleep or prep. Time management is an important skill. Unless they, like most men, think I "just woke up this gorgeous" lmfao.
Yeah I think men don't consider the extra time women must spend to look presentable in business situations. There's actually been studies on this IIRC
Wear less makeup? I have recruited and hired many people and I can honestly never say that makeup was a deciding factor.
I put a piece of clear ducking tape a smudge it a little to make my camera a little blurry

I just use a make up filter..
G 1 - No I've tried some of the makeup filters on zoom. First the colors are often too light and for instance with lipstick it didn't seem to move with my mouth. It's just not convincing as real makeup. Same with the "foundation". Looks obviously fake. I'd never Ina million years wear makeup that looked like that on me.
Moreover, Microsoft Teams (at least on the browser) doesn't have makeup filters
You sound like a guy who has never had to choose and wear makeup before. Stay in your lane...
