Few weeks ago, noticed some ants under our sink. Wiped down counters and became more vigilant, and overtime saw little to no ants. However, earlier today I saw a bunch of ants in the pantry. I stood there for over an hour and killed SEVERAL but there are still some more. Is a professional service advisable or is it something worth DIYing? I’m for pros, hubs seems to want to DIY.

The Terro liquid ant bait traps worked for me a couple years ago. Kills the whole colony. I haven't seen ants since.

Exact same, I spent a week going crazy cleaning everything and killing dozens of ants but the Terro thing fixed my problem in like 36 hours

Also agree with the others - the liquid bait traps helped us get rid of two openings with ants in the house overnight. Definitely DIY.

Another helpful tip that I’m sure you know - focus on preventative measures (closing all open food items in the pantry, seek airtight containers if needed, etc!)

For more context, the services I found are requiring 12 month contracts. The one I found that is a one time treatment is expensive ends up being close to half the amount for a 12 month contract with 4 guaranteed visits and unlimited additional visits.

Don’t seek professional help! Unnecessary

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I’ll pickup some Terro this evening

Making an offer. The sellers said they had 30+ people walk through the open house today, and are asking for best and final. They’ll make a decision on Monday. The list price is 775k. We were originally thinking of offering 700 to start since comps are around 735k. However, this is nicer than the comps renovation-wise. What would you all suggest we offer? We’d rather lose the house than overpay, so this concerns us.
