I’m going to take a week off and I would love some book recommendations! Either a great novel (fiction or not) or an inspiring book that makes me feel hopeful about 2021 (it’s been a rough year..)
Audio book recommendations?
Any book recommendations to gift my cousin sister? She studied (masters) psychology and is a trained classical dancer.
Book recommendations for using my 3 audible credits? Prefer narrators who aren’t dryer than the Sahara. Would like something business/ consulting related if exists. Also enjoy nonfiction, sci Fi and fantasy
Looking for book recommendations (non fiction) - leadership, management or science/world related
Any book recos? I tend to like true crime or thrillers.. something to keep me turning the page. Currently reading Devil in the White City and loving it.
Any must-read book recommendations for folks in our field, especially for the younger crowd (e.g. Analysts/Consultants)?
Anyone have any book recommendations for real estate investing? There’s a lot of crap out there. Looking for a more serious book for someone who already understands finance and real estate basics.
Who’s got book recommendations? No lame “business guru” books that repeat the same principle over and over again.
Advice on becoming a better strategic thinker? I'm naturally more execution-minded (not a bad thing I know 🙂) but def looking to improve in this regard. Tips, book recos, etc welcome!
Book recommendations? I come from non-Union/low budget line producing but I’m now working for a “real agency”. I’m looking to learn more about SAG processes, working with vendors, bidding process, etc. I know most of this knowledges will come from actually working on projects but I’m curious if there are any good resources out there.
Exploring a strategy / ops opportunity in Dublin at a tech co. Cost of living seems pretty high. 4 YOE in management consulting. Could anyone share any benchmarks on - a) monthly in-hand salary, b) rent for 1 BHK, c) savings as a % of monthly income?
Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.
Moving from big4 to core strategy firm (read MBB). Have 2 months before I join the new firm. Wondering what I can do to prepare myself, are there any courses, books that would help me gain some skills. I have mostly done PMO, tech implementations kind of work so far. Don't want to leave any stone unturned and want to make it work.

Sooo... Living a fine life. Make good salary, have a nice apartment and stuff. Somehow, I mean, being by now a mid thirty female I feel like I have failed (at least regarding this point, don't know how to proceed? (I mean, I am a 34yr old, successful person, but even though I managed having good relationships until I turned 30, by now I just seriously feel old.) Colleagues have either met their match years ago or are incompetent of relationships
Prestige or 30% better take home salary?
A company called DASH technologies reached out to me saying I pay 16% of first year salary once I get a job. They said they will get me interviews. I have been working on my job search for a long time. What are your thoughts on these types of staffing agencies. I can get interviews on my own but no offers. I'm applying as a Software Engineer/ Web/ Fullstack.

Moving from PwC advisory to kpmg technology, knowing kpmg offers me a senior manager position and pwc doesn’t seem to get me there, even with amazing evaluations and super interesting roles offered, yey or nay?
1st time on the bench in 3 years. Check out demand portal: "wtf is this shit?" No wonder everyone is unstaffed and getting the boot.
I have set my LinkedIn settings to “seeking opportunities” and I’ve gotten some talent search recruiters reach out to me to put me in contact with companies who are hiring. Should I go through a recruiter or try to seek out opportunities on my own?
Which one of you Accenture folk are on this project? With a bill rate like that it's gotta be ACN India. Spill the beans or I'll tag you in my group chat. I am awaiting my bar results and am working at the solo practitioner’s firm I was at all thru law school. My boss does strictly family law but has known since my first summer that my interest is personal injury, particularly med mal. Boss is allowing me (once licensed) to take PI cases and eventually med mal cases. I am essentially going to be building my own practice. I would appreciate any advice you might have for someone in my position. Thank you.
Is it wrong/bad to accept a job offer for a position which you have gone through the interview process for that requires 2 more years of experience than you currently have? It is for SC at B4. I just recently became C.
Anyone at Merck willing to offer a referral?
