What should I expect in terms of compensation for an Associate/Senior Associate position in Corporate Strategy at Dell?
My supervisor and project leadership are opening a job requisition with my recommendations for a tech-focused position to support the teams I am on. Salary included. It's going to be called a Senior Digital Strategies Specialist. The gist of the position would strategize with leadership, manage IT projects, be a product owner for tech, and manage cross-functional teams. My range of expectation is 95k to 100k for this, I think they expect around 80k. Thoughts?
I'm in the last stage of the screening process for an Amazon AWS security engineer position. Due to the recent hiring freeze, I was given two options: - go through the last screening (5x1 hour interviews) and, if accepted, wait for a position to open. If not accepted I have to wait 1 to 2 years to apply again, as usual. - OR don't go through the screening and having to go through another screening process. Advices on what to do are welcome. Right now I'm more prone to go through the interview.
Speaking with a recruiter next week about an associate role with a VC firm (~500m AUM). What should I expect for comp for this role? I’m 3.5 yoe.

Hi! I saw some recent chatter about a hiring freeze at Microsoft and wondering if anyone has any insights? Is this across all functions? I recently applied to two Business Planner openings and wondering if this was a waste of time or if I should continue to pursue the opportunity and try to reach out to a recruiter? TIA!
Worked as a senior consultant in the rpa space at a startup and currently a senior rpa engineer in industry. I feel ready and would love a more leadership role. What kind of roles should I look for or what kind of technologies should I transition to to progress my career? I am really bored at my current job. Don’t feel challenged at all
Being a millennial myself, and having a client base that skews older, I've been curious about how to attract my generation and the next. I agree goals can change generation to generation, but some of these ideas in the article seem...more extreme than I've seen. Any of you running into these types of clients?

What happened to WORK (slack)?
Hi All, I was offered a role with Aecoms San Francisco office working with an energy client for a midlevel associate environmental planner. I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. This is given that I had 1.5 years in land use planning and a recent masters graduate in urban planning.
How do you all deal with protein farts?
This may be an odd question but what do you consider a risk free asset? Technically the only true risk free asset is a government issued bond or a 100% hedged asset which is a risk free rate but what else? I've seen some interesting analogies that make certain farmland and timberland assets sound extremely close to risk free when the time horizon is greater then say 2 years.
How many active channels are on your slack? I have around 50 separated by internal topics, discussions of particular account or specific project. I just had a discussion with someone who thinks it's too much and needs to be optimized more. I kind of like that I have a separate channel for separate topic. What do you think?

For ladies: Are there any BB or CC creams that cater to our complexion? I love Fenty but think it’s a bit too heavy to wear during the summer days. For reference: I’m 420/430 in Fenty.
Always remember one thing during this time of the great resignation if you plan on staying in the workday ecosystem. While it seems huge, the workday ecosystem is small. Don’t piss people off along the way. Stay committed through your notice period up until your last day of work. Someone you work with in the future will be tied to your past somehow! Keep your network strong if you plan to continue your workday career cause you never know who you will connect with again!
I’m an attorney and I’ve been dealing with a diagnosed anxiety disorder and ADD for as long as I can remember. So far I have resisted getting on anxiety meds but lately (especially since the start of the pandemic) it has been getting unbearable. The thing is, when I’m able to focus I create work product that gets regularly praised. But other times I just can’t complete a task, often due to overwhelming anxious thinking. I’m worried that anxiety meds will dull my “sharp” moments. Any thoughts??
Apart from $, what motivates you to go to work?

Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
Hi after some advice. I'm a copier tech in Sydney. I apparently get paid more than industry standard. I'm also the only manufacturer trained tech in the company. A trainee let slip the offered him 9k more than me and I've just been told I can no longer do over time. Do I stay and fight or do just move on.
Also does anyone know what the usual salary is for a copier tech in Sydney Australia?

Hello everyone! I was recently laid off from my position as a Senior SE due to downsizing. I am now in a market for a new and exciting opportunity.
Alittle background for context. I have 5 years of experience as an SE selling to both mid market and Large enterprise across different verticals. My career has been spent with some of the largest ERP and tech companies in the world but I am open to any opportunity.
If you know of any opportunities please reach out. Thank you all for any help
Received a job offer, trying to get some objective opinions.
Current Job - acquired by large, public tech company last year. Daily frustrations in first year of being acquired. Acting as an overlay team now. Lots of job security, great teammates and manager. Somewhat recession-proof industry.
Opportunity - 40% pay raise + equity to work at an international tech Series B. Raised funds in Aug 2021. Expanding into US; most US employees <1 yr tenure. Unknown if recession-proof (automation tech).
Hi, could anyone give me an idea of SE salaries in Europe? E.g. Google, Amazon, Salesforce? Others...
Interviewed at Workday and got an offer: OTE $205 with a 70/30 base/commission split. With $40K RSUs. Thoughts? This is for a senior presales consultant, I come from 8 years of industry experience and 1.5 of presales experience.

I'm asking for help as I'm interested in switching to Solutions Engineering from a Software Engineering background.
How do I make the switch?
Do you have any materials to suggest that could help to land a job as a Solutions Engineer?
Thanks a lot!
I started a new job at the beginning of the year and things have been great so far. Today I got a message from a recruiter for a role at a startup that sounds really interesting. I’ve always been interested in working at a startup, but don’t think it would be a good idea to move jobs within a year. Should I even talk with the recruiter to learn more or just keep working in a role and company I’m happy with? Thanks for any input.
I work as a Solutions Engineer with primarily Enterprise clients. I’ve been in the field for 5 years now and in that entire time I’ve supported AEs directly through the Sales process as part of my technical job. I’m at 90k now and expecting a Senior promotion in 3 months, but interested in switching to a full blown Sales Engineer at a new company. What salary range should I realistically look for given this brief description of my experience?
I just got hired as a sales engineer! I've been pursuing this for a while so I'm super excited but also super nervous. Would love some insights and advice from those of you who have been at it a while. Looking back on your first day as a sales engineer, what do you wish you knew then?
