I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. I would take a look at the whole range of the salary on Glassdoor, and try to price yourself accurately based on your years of experience and location. I don't think that they are so skewed that it will have negative effects on your comp, Glassdoor is usually a fairly safe bet.
I think Glassdoor is pretty accurate. That being said, you can see on there how many salaries have been reported. If a ton of people have listed their salaries, then it will be more accurate than if five people listed salaries. But try to verify with other sources too.
I believe you can also sort the reported salaries by YOE buckets which would allow you to see what those with the least amount of experience are pulling in.
It's more accurate in some industries or for some companies than others. I've seen wildly inaccurate salaries alongside accurate ones for the same company but different positions, even. If it says "very likely" as its rating for the estimate, it is more likely to be accurate. Check out how many people have reported the salary - the bigger the data set, the more accurate it is.
