Folks whose GC become current in last 2-3 months how many months you are expecting GC assuming no interviews will happen. My spouse is on h4ead and going to loose job next month since USCIS is taking forever to issue h4ead cards. We got current on GC so hoping that card could come soon. Is there way I can expedite or push USCIS to issue either card.
Asking for a friend - Has anyone switched from a corporate to the firm that audits them for a non-audit role? Are audit partners from the firm required to inform the head of the client about the ongoing interview before giving out an offer? How does head of client usually handle that information? Any impact if you end up taking the offer or staying? Thanks a lot!
What’s the best pivot for someone specialized in digital marketing strategy without the bad wlb of working for clients. And how did you differentiate yourself to work for company with excellent wlb? Im only getting recruiters from agencies and consulting firms and don’t want to jump to another. Tried applying tech/client/industry side but I feel like my experience pigeonholes me to agencies and consulting firms.
Recruiter called today and she asked my comp expectations before I asked the comp range for her roles. I made the mistake (?) of saying my range first. Is there any way and is it appropriate to flip the question around? Or to just refuse to answer? Also, recruiter asked where I am with other interviews and what kinds of other ops I'm entertaining. I said I have several interviews lined up and vaguely named some industries (big tech, HF, VC, etc; all true). Is that bad / too much info?
When does Capgemini let you know about technical interview results???(experienced candidates)

Hi folks! I need some advice with regards to my career path. I did my MBA in finance in 2020. I had my career path figured out but due to the pandemic I couldn't start my job in the finance role that I was placed in. From January I have been working as a research analyst in a research company. What are the possible options for me going forward. Are there any courses for strategic consultancy which I could pursue to enhance my CV and have a successful career in this field? Need some guidance.

In a few weeks I’m transitioning from a client-facing consulting role to an internal role that’s not client facing. Looking forward to the WLB but a bit anxious about the pivot out of client work (will it be too slow paced, will I get bored, etc). Anyone have tips on being successful in this transition out of client work?
I used to be so eager to work and I was extremely diligent before moving firms. Now I don't want to do anything and I slack off to the point where I hate myself. How do I get back into the grind? I want to contribute more to my team and do better but my mind wanders so easily...

When is the right time (if any) to buy a nice watch? For context, I am 22, I make $78k (projected to be $90k in October), have $25k in stocks, about $20k in crypto, and $15k of cash. Expenses are about $1500/month, everything else is invested. I am anticipating a bonus of around $5k in July. Does it make sense to spend all of that plus some for a nice watch? At what income level did you make a purchase like this? I am trying to justify it in my head but I don’t know if I should wait.
Wait for promotion in October or take July bonus and leave? I'm so burnt out. It would be nice to get the title but I don't know if I can last that long, and not possible to take leave in between.
1st yr, been putting away 18% of pre-tax income to 401K (-27% return). Have $3k to invest, what would you recommend? pay towards $4k loan, increase contributions, roth ira?

Illness advice needed - I have IBS which has gotten worse in the past year. WFH has been a blessing, sometimes I’ll need to make it to a bathroom within 30s-1m or have an accident. I’m not sure if I can manage working in person with how my condition has worsened. Q1: Does anyone live with IBS and how do you manage? Q2: Should I turn my full-attention to looking for a remote-only job?
