The virtual on-site is just like the phone screener, just longer and with more interviewers. The questions are the same and hypos are similar. The one thing to remember is that you don’t want to use any story more than once as your interviewers sit down together to compare notes afterwards and they want to feel that you have enough depth as a candidate. I prepared three or four stories for each LP, typed them up, and actually printed off a copy for the interviews. Between interviews, I crossed off stories I had already used.
Remember the LPs and try to format your answers to reflect the Amazonian culture. Hypos are largely meant to test your risk tolerance and your ability to identify both legal and business issues.
Amazon interviewers are taught to dig deep even during interviews so I was asked a lot of follow up questions about each story. Make sure you really know all the details around each scenario. When I was asked a leading question, I found that the interviewer was usually trying to help me out.
Good luck!
I would suggest having 10 examples of scenarios that reflect your capabilities. Each interviewer asked 3-4 questions. I had prepared 8 and reused some twice. I made an effort to avoid using the same example more than twice.
The Bar Raiser interview will be challenging by design. It will be at the end of your interview schedule. They intentionally schedule breaks so take the time to decompress and whatever you need to do to feel ready for the next interview.
Develop tons of stories, ideally some that can be used for multiple LPs. Don't reuse them.
