Know someone at McKinsey who knows that I’m well qualified for roles there, but we’re not on the best terms. Is it worth it to ask them for a referral/ask them to direct me to other McK folks who could refer me? Worried that if they knew I was interested and they haven’t moved on from past disagreements that they could tell the recruiter to throw out my app/blackball me from the firm. This person is fairly junior in the firm, but don’t know how much influence they have.

I’ve had three interviews for an internal position over a period of about 6 weeks The last was over a week ago. And I can’t get the HR rep to even return an email or a TEAMS chat as to a ballpark when a decision may be made. VERY frustrating. Even just a “we will be making a decision soon”.
