OP, depends if your current intake level is your weight maintenance level, above your maintenance level, or below it, and how much you burn when you exercise. At the end of the day, your calories consumed less calories burned need to be below your maintenance caloric needs.

Your maintenance calories are what you need to consume in order to neither gain nor lose weight.

As someone who has lost a lot of weight in his life, trust me when I tell you diet is the key/foundation to losing weight.

Im guessing D1 meant probably because they didn’t realize how much they were consuming and how much bullshit is hidden in a lot of the garbage food available (if you’re in the US at least).

I track my calories and macros via my fitness pal and it’s always so sad how quickly shit adds up when I want to stray away from the usual stuff and eat something not healthy.

I like weights more than cardio.

I lost 30 pounds in about 4 months on the peloton. Rode every day for 30-45 minutes. Cut out snacks and junk food. Limited alcohol. The pounds just melted off.

I pushed hard. I would usually burn about 500-600 calories in a 30 min ride and about 800-900 in 45 min. I am a 31 year old male. I keep my heart rate around 175 average. I was in reasonably good shape when I did this, just had some extra weight. This was three years ago. I now ride my bike and peloton multiple times a week. I end up riding about 3000 miles a year. I can basically eat anything I want and maintain my weight.

It's great just be mindful that you'll feel more hungry. Try not to up your overall calorie intake but increase your protein to feel more full for longer

Workout vs. Relaxation Spaces:

Been trying to maintain some degree of separation of space usages (despite very tight quarters). Those of you who’ve tried working out in your bedrooms, do you find that negatively impacts your sleep or ability to wind down in that space?

I was diagnosed with ADHD in the first grade along with dyslexia and dysgraphia. I’m also positive that I should have been diagnosed with dyscalculia. Sometimes in my work, I say/do/write things that are obvious symptoms of these disabilities but my mentor attorney acts like I’m just making lazy, stupid mistakes. Almost just burned my house down with a grease fire, had too much oil in a cast iron pan and got it too hot. Left the room for a minute and came back to flames coming out from around the lid. Luckily I remembered to smother it and didn’t dump water on it. I caught it in time to keep fire from spreading to the counter and the house just filled with smoke.
