Finally I heard from a recruiter that EY is no longer hiring H-1Bs.

Hmm. It is seriously difficult to onboard on travel projects. Career prospects have dwindled significantly.

I literally just got hired by EY and I’m on H1B. They have started the transfer process too.

Which division did you apply for?

like

It shows that OP works at EY. That doesn’t happen if you don’t have an email ID from EY

Some teams don’t if they need to travel a lot. But I know FAAS and TAS are hiring a lot of H1Bs.

I had a recent recruiting call, the recruiting team said they still do sponsor h1b and gc. But we are in fso audit so not so much travel

Currently an analyst at LMM PE firm (~$3B AUM) going to H/S in 2023. How can I best position myself for competitive PE roles coming out of MBA? I got a Boston Consulting Group employee to refer me. Got the referral link instantly but I can't seem to see any AC roles on the Job posting site. My link was some brassring referral link and it had some 807 openings but no AC roles. I have reached back to my contact to figure out what's up with this. Anyone from the firm has any idea or any candidate had a similar experience ? My referee didn't ask me for any office preference or anything just fyi.

I am interviewing for a new IT Manager position. I started putting out soft feelers and then hit the hunt harder. The problem: I have one offer and need to give an answer by next Wednesday. I have two other opportunities that are in final steps but probably won’t have offers by next Wednesday. Both of the other offers will be higher pay but clearly are uncertain for offers. Do I accept the offer I have, which is a good one or wait for the other two to finalize and possibly miss out altogether?

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
Thanks for any help!

I’m frustrated. I’ve been in the job market for an ungodly amount of time, applying to various companies and have had zero luck.

I’m getting worried nothing will pan out and would really appreciate words of wisdom. Given our current situation, I understand the job market isn’t too hot right now but, are there any companies you’d suggest looking into that are hiring? Ideally, I’d like to work client-facing (sales, BDM, partnerships etc.) please help!

I am expecting an offer going from client coordinator to clinical qa manager. I am struggling to find a market value for this position. This is on Long Island. When looking up qa manager positions I am coming up with 125k-160k, but this would be my first management role and I only make 50k currently. I have no idea what to expect them to offer me and what I should go back with. My company does work for insurance companies. I know it's vague, but hoping for some insight. Thanks!

Anyone get a verbal offer where the hiring manager tells you they will be sending a formal offer letter, but be patient. No details on compensation, benefits, PTO, etc shared at all. It’s been a week and I’m still waiting. Not sure if this is an ominous sign.

Curious what other underwriters are being paid. We have had a good amount of turn over lately where people are getting 20K plus more, but the people we are hiring to fill those spots are saying we pay “way” more than their previous role. Seems there is a big gap.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

Just a question for those here. What does anyone see as a job outlook for a pharmacy technician that has 15 years of experience and is studying for the CPhT? I would like to return to 100% remote work and, understandably, most job postings that are about my caliber are requiring the cert. I am thinking of possibly pivoting into an IT job that would be fully remote later on down the road, but I’m interested in seeing what is possible now (and an average pay) for someone with my experience.

Alternative is wait till Jan and see if EO expires and H4 can be stamped back home in a matter if a week.
