I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Laid off from a boutique in SF after a year. Had to move home, no savings, and student loans up the wazoo. I don’t know when I’ll be employed next. Any tips for getting through this dark time?
Any advice for moving out for the first time? I’ve just put in some offers on homes, Im a year out of college and I’m excited to move out, but I am just a bit worried about budgeting and worried about potential layoffs (not at BAH anymore). Can anyone provide some reassurance? I know worst case scenario my parents could help me out, but they’ve done so much for me that I don’t want to rely on them when moving out.
UPDATE: ***“likely no merit based raises unless promotion”***
UPDATE: Layoffs are possible, markets are “fluid.” Leadership will not commit to saying layoffs are off the table.

For those leaving to new roles, are you at all worried about your new employer going through layoffs? How are you thinking about this when deciding on a new role?
I moved internally and my previous mgr gave negative feedback. Said deliverables needed to be redone, didn't finish tasks, was argumentative, etc. That was not the case. My current mgr and colleagues gave positive feedback. Current mgr said escalation to previous mgr and HR was an option. Is it worthwhile to escalate though? How much weight does the previous mgr's feedback have? Worried this would impact any layoff decisions either way.
Are more massive layoffs coming? What industries (in-house/ecomm) are safest right now or during a recession?

I have an interview tomorrow at a small tech PR firm in San Francisco. Any tips/advice to help land the job?
Today, I felt proud of the firm's power.
We have a client that was hitting hard on one of our projects due to their internal fights, constantly blocking it. It demoralized our team and lost valuable consultants because of that project.
Now after some months of fighting back, one of the client's directors who was fighting us resigned.
Is the 3rd client's stakeholder (and hopefully the last) that we get out of our way in this project.
Never understimate the network of a big consulting firm.
Hello Folks, I am new to this and just wanted guidance from you all. I was on a career break and have started working back from 2019. I got opportunities in non- tech roles, presently I am working with Byjus in User experience team. I am keen to get into technical roles but I do not have any technical experience. If you people are aware of any re-starter programs giving opportunities to women on career break also training them for the same. Please do let me know. Thanks in advance.

Looking for some good examples of website Editorial Guidelines that my newbie web developer can create for us. He's created us this website but now I need him to document his style and editorial guidelines (e.g.: If there are 2 CTAs, the primary goes on the left; always structure X type of page using these components, etc.). I've tried googling this but "Editorial Guidelines" doesn't give me anything useful. Any have any suggestions?
