Clarivate Analytics why is the interview process so incredibly long?
First the recruiter took days to reply to her initial set up for a phone interview, made me do an assessment, waited a few days to hear back after she told me I passed, then scheduled a prep call and had me waiting for over 30 mins and cancelled on me. Then did two more interview and it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve heard back. I sent a follow up email today and waiting for a reply. This is crazy!

Virtue signaling, like: "You know, I just can't tolerate people that support hurting others. That's just me."
Ha SSE1. You're not wrong.
It's become an echo chamber.
It can be helpful for live updates on news (say you're following a hurricane or the capitol riot at the time, live) or if you want to drop into the zeitgeist. If you're interested in a specific vertical or topic it's a good resource for the latest about that and for people's commentary on that news and topic.
You have to use it as a tool and get a specific use out of it - agree with following events live and seeing people positing live footage from the scene etc. I also think it's a helpful place to aggregate news. So you can follow a ton of different news outlets and see different headlines they're posting. And you can read the different angles that they're all taking/get more perspectives, plus get news just about the things you care about by getting more segmented. And see what the latest headlines are...the interface is much better than googling an event. Plus, a news outlet might post updates about what's happening live/break a story before they get time to write an article - so you'll be able to follow it faster.
It’s where news breaks first and trends trend first. Good for following and engaging with thought leaders in your space.
99% A virtual courtroom to cancel people by looking with a magnifier on tiny things to destroy their lives.
1% Quality opinions with a strong algorithm to push you towards in-group bias
I like it because I follow a lot of people who are much funnier than I am about current events but yeah there is a lot of pretentious virtuing and “actually...” retorting and cringy tweets that start off with “important to remember that....”
