AE: “Client loves it, it’s perfect!” Creative: “Great we’ll finalize the files for delivery!” AE: “Well, just a few minor changes...”
I’m supposed to roll off next week because my work stream is ending so I pinged an md and said I’m free for a new project in a week. Today, I’m reading the new sow and I find out that the project is keeping me on a few more weeks. Pretty messed up that I wasn’t told about this in person. Do I have to stay?
When you're talking shit about the client on IM, and accidentally present your screen for your senior manager and manager to see...🙃
Anyone out there have/had a baby and worked a job? Full time? Part time/project based etc ? What did you do and how did you make it work?
Any tips for how to make internal networking feel more natural? I know face time without a specific client need is important, but I can't find a way to make it feel authentic.
I’m trying to make the jump from agency > platform (not FB…more like Spotify or Twitter etc.). I work with reps at these places as part of my job, but technically their loyalty is to my clients (the ones spending $ on their platform), not to me, working at the client’s creative agency. So it feels weird asking them for a recommendation or referral, but that would obviously be easier than applying on the jobs site... How do I utilize my “network” without making things awkward?
What my client organization needs is for people to work together. Pretty PowerPoints with process flows or getting them to use Jira isn't the solution. It's culture change. How do I make that happen?
Been at PwC's Acceleration Center a couple of months, but have an MBA in analytics, and am currently a doctoral student (DBA) in finance. Previous experience includes small business consulting 2.5 YOE, and A/R controller (1.5 YOE) What opportunities would I be fit for in NYC for a more client based gig?
I recently started working with a client in southern california. Next thing I know, I am now constantly stoned after hours. So far it’s been great but I fear if this could be fatal to my life in the long run. In free time, I have started being home more than going outside.
Has anyone mailed it in on a project and got successfully rolled off without ramification? I’m supporting multiple projects, never asked for one in particular, and I have limited time for it. Everyone else is on it full time so they of course expect the same sense of urgency, but it’s down on the list of my priorities. Replacement staff extremely limited and I’m not going to spend loads of extra hours as I’ve done in the past to save another project. Nobody will ever learn.
Thinking of exiting consulting. Poor project selection and lack of interest in sales is why I may exit, but unclear pay at Senior Manager level compared to good exits is a factor. Is it a bad idea to tell my firm-appointed career counselor and ask for advice on how to decide if I stay or go, or if I should get a different role in my current firm?
Hey guys. Really discouraged on my journey in big 4. I feel like I am so stupid. I am on a big team and where communication is not great, my client is complex as they’re FS. I didn’t want to do FS for that very reason as Im not interested. Im lacking in terms of knowing the business and technically too. I had been on path on doing good but now its way below that. Im sad and lost maybe I am not in a service line for me as Im in IT AUDIT. I wish I was smart enough feel like Im gonna be put on PIP
Ik it’s good practice not to put client names in resume, but what about their parent company or venture backer if they’re a portfolio company (like “flagship portco”)
Do we need to edit client hours to 0 for Holiday manually? I could see 8 hours holiday is already added automatically and still project hours are showing as 8 hours. Please clarify recently joined in D usi.
When you dream you're in a dark labyrinth with no exit, it might be time to roll off your project.
Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?

Does anyone know the salary range for strategy manager at Accenture in Canada? Interested in the team and a role they just posted, any insight would be so helpful!
Hi guys, looking for advice. I left ACN about 3 months ago and stepped into a very disorganized, toxic work environment that’s giving me anxiety attacks. I thought consulting was negatively impacting my mental health, but this is another ball game. I’m thinking about going back to consulting. Any thoughts on best approach for this? I think I have a fair story to tell, but not sure if any firm will bite this soon after leaving. Any thoughts? Maybe someone can throw me a referral 😢
