Financial Consultant for PIMCO

Got an interview for a financial consulting role for PIMCO but it turns out that id be a contract employee (indefinite “end date”) through Ultimate Staffing agency.

Any insight as to why PIMCO would be looking to hire this way? Has anyone served as a consultant for pimco through a recruiting firm & if so what waa your experience?

Im a little surprised that pimco wouldnt just pay a recruiting firm a finders fee and hire their candidate
