Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!
Who is still waiting on Booth? 🙋🏻♂️

Obviously there are “more important things” happening in the world. But, as an alum myself, I also know just how big & important recruiter session is. If you’re one of 100 brandcenter students, it IS the biggest thing you’ve been thinking about - for 2 years. My recruiter session experience has given me contacts for life, I still reach out to recruiters (like, a LOT of recruiters) I met during those 2 days. So it’s truly important. Plus ask any recruiter, they LOOOOVE attending.
Anyway, enough with you Nancy negatives! Let people be bummed about how this pandemic is changing a billion details of their lives.
And agreed, we should all do what we can to help ALL graduating students navigate graduation!
Love to hear that! And I 100% understand that in comparison to the bigger, global picture this is a small spec on the radar.
but it really does hit home in a specific way for some of us!
Stay safe & healthy 🙂
They worked their ass off for two years, they can wait another few months. Yeah, I know it sucks, but there are more important things going on right now.
^ yup! a big reason I felt comfortable with the decision to go back to school was the high certainty of quickly finding a good job.
This is hurting every student from undergrad to other portfolio schools. Look at everyone’s books. Click the link above that senior art director 1 posted to see people from all different backgrounds and schools. If you are a student seeing this, put your name/website in the spreadsheet.
We will find a way to interview remotely. It won’t be perfect but we’ll make it work
Sorry, but THAT’s what made this whole thing hit home for you? (And yes, I’m volunteering to look at student books.)
Thanks for clarifying! Yeah, I know it’s weird. I’m locked in my apartment with my family working from my bed and that’s kinda the weirdest thing to me. Just because I know how much work I put into my two years there and how totally crushing it would be to see the one thing you’d been obsessively driving towards disappear. Sure there will be other ways to interview, but for two years all you think about it recruiter session. 200 people descending on the school to reward you for all that work and money spent.
There are way bigger things happening, but I feel that.
Creative Circus kids has their portfolio review days and graduation cancelled as well. Look at their books too!
I’d love to. How do I do that?
They will be posted on the brandcenter website when they launch (probably in 3-4 weeks). Brandcenter is also partnering with Working Not Working, so WNW will likely share portfolio links around that time as well.
I’m a student hoping to work in strategy. If anyone is looking for interns/juniors or just a mentee feel free to DM me. Thanks everyone in advance.
