S&O is one of the primary exits for consulting. So probably that assuming comp is right

Yeah I think if you get paid the same as SWE and do less work, it’s a dream come true for most people
Ignore all the tech stans on this app. Do you want to do tech? If so, take the tech offer. Otherwise, it depends a lot on the consulting offers you can get.
They won’t. That’s the biggest issue with consulting. Everyone wants to do strategy but there’s no guarantee that’s what you’ll get staffed in particularly at Accenture and the big 4. You also won’t have much of a say on your projects’ industry. If you get an MBB offer, take that. If not then go where you think you like the people more
Skip Accenture and Deloitte. Consider the EYP and OW potential offers if you want to do financial services/due diligence work.
If the offer is adobe, take it.

I'm confused - you have an offer at all 3 + S&O in tech or is this hypothetical? Those are all different and have different lines so you have to be more specific to get any help on will x help more than y.

That’s helpful @C1, thanks! I see where mck2 got their response, adobe rly skyrocketed these last 5 years.

Are you happy with the comp and location for the S&O role? I’d probably take that. You can always pivot to consulting if needed.
Coach
@EY1 was the move to consulting hard? And did you get downleveled?
I’d go S&O.

Any reason?
